The Artist

Gionita Saldanha, born 1994, is a British self-taught, self-representing artist based in Liverpool, UK. With an eye for composition and fearless to experiment, Gionita is continuously driven to develop and evolve her artistic learning through paint and media exploration establishing her space in the contemporary art scene.

Deeply influenced by her curiosity of the chaos in abstract art and a background in Chemical Engineering, Gionita’s artworks display a distinctive seamless balance of precision and detail contrasted with expressive bold strokes.

Her work is defined by vibrant colours, energetic splatters and metallic accents with a signature focus on the subject. A powerful message of acceptance, self-love, and inclusivity is embraced within her collections, and subsequently by her collectors.

Brand Mission

After graduating with a master’s degree from the University of
Sheffield, Gionita pursued a full-time career as an Engineer for 4 years carrying out various Engineering roles across the UK.

Here she acquired valuable inspiration from the stories of the lives of her many colleagues from
various backgrounds. This sparked an idea in her and enabled her to take a bold and drastic leap from the engineering world into the unknows of the Art world.

She now wants blend the art of story-telling with her passion of visual art to create a slow media platform with an inclusive unique community at the heart of the brand which inspires each other; by exploring a range of life themes and encouraging each other to choose to be their authentic selves at every chapter of their lives, and ultimately unafraid to dream.

Gionita Studio promises to inspire others to live their purpose, highlight the beauty of being original, unique & human and empower people to not let anything hold them back in following their inner desires.

Ultimately, the Studio aims to inspire individuals to do what inspires them without a care for the judgement of others because only then do they become their truest, happiest and most complete self.

  • Inspiration

    Her inspiration usually comes
    from her role models, close friends and those she meets that evoke positive emotion within, intentionally honing in on her ability to deeply empathise with individuals; Gionita aims to recreate that essence of understanding and self-discovery in every painting.

  • Style

    Each painting begins with an
    individual, their story, thoughts or reflection and are brought to life with her intuitive and experimental process. Her style is ever evolving and Gionita is keen on utilising layered textures, calculated brush strokes, varying mediums offering an exclusive multisensory experience, enchanting viewers to explore the meaning behind each artwork.

  • Process

    Getting lost in her own self
    discovered process allows the layers and colour relationships to direct her calculated brush strokes and sporadic compositions organically, giving each piece an aesthetically pleasing and a uniquely captivating charm.

We promise to create epic memorable art work for each collector and continuously work on ways of making a positive impact to as many individuals that we can reach.

We also want to continuously strive to create art that is more affordable, more accessible for as many people as possible around the world. We want to create an opportunity for everyone who believes in this brand mission to be able to become collectors.
