Buying Guide - Canvas Original Artwork
Introduction
The original canvas Artwork is created using a mixture of mixed media including heavy bodied and fluid acrylic paint, modelling paste and gesso on a 280-gsm primed cotton canvas. The canvas on frame is 24” x 30” (approx. 61 cm x 76 cm) and the finished painting is gently varnished sealed and protected with Winsor and Newton Galeria Acrylic Medium gloss varnish providing archival quality up to 200 years. It is recommended that the canvas is not placed in direct sunlight to avoid sun aging. Packaging – Original Art Work
The signed painting is packaged by dismantling the support frame and skilfully and thoroughly protecting the canvas with acid free paper. The artwork is then rolled into a tube box fully protected with additional bubble wrap along with the wooden frame for your use.
Packaging and posting art work in this eco-friendly manner utilising recyclable material where possible reduces the amount of packaging required. The materials we use to produce your orders have been carefully selected to minimise our impact on the environment whilst still ensuring your orders get to you in perfect condition. This also allows for lower shipping prices so that the Studio can cover all shipping costs across all original art work meaning there are no shipping costs for any original art orders!
Upon arrival of artwork, it can be reassembled onto the wooden support frame provided, which is simple to do and only takes 10 minutes. The canvas is already pre-stretched before being painted on so will not need further stretching whilst reframing it.
Alternatively, you can also take it to professional framers who can also reframe it for you as you wish. Before reassembling painting, please ensure there hasn’t been any damage during transit. If so please contact art@gionitastudio.com. This must be done within 14 days of receiving your art work. We will not be able to accept any returns after this time.

Receiving your package and & Displaying Art Work
As your artwork will arrive in a tube package, it means the art work will have a slight curvature to it when removed from tube. This will be evened out once artwork has been reframed onto the wooden support.
Tips for Handling art work:
- Before you start unrolling, stop and make sure your hands and the surface area you’re working on are clean. Any grit or dirt on your fingertips and oils on your skin can leave unwanted marks.
- When handling the Art work, only touch the edges. Wear gloves if possible. (If you have it, place a piece of smooth paper or cloth on your working area that’s bigger than your art work.)
Frame may require canvas hangar attachment, depending on how you wish to display the art work. These can be purchased on amazon.com or online for a low price. Alternatively, no nails options are also widely available online. Please review products carefully and check that it is suitable for your use before purchasing anything online.
