Buying Guide for Limited Edition Giclée Prints - The Words We Say Collection

Limited Edition Giclée Prints

Introduction

For each original created in this series (The Words We Say) there will be a total of 100 limited edition giclée prints created; 40 A1 size, 30 A2 size, 20 A3 size and 10 A4 size.

The Studio is committed to making art accessible & affordable as possible so are offering the opportunity to buy prints for this particular launch collection starting at prices of almost 97% less than the original pieces.

Although, the prints are valued at a much lower price than the original art pieces a lot of work & effort has gone into ensuring that the prints are as close as possible in colour and feel to the original art piece.

This is done by taking great care and utilising the correct photography and lighting equipment to accurately capture the original art work, carefully editing the piece to ensure it looks like the original art piece, finding the correct printer style and print paper so as to mimic a canvas quality feel, effect and robustness.

This is all so that your print is as close as possible to having the original art piece in your home at a fraction of the cost.

We understand everyone has different budgets, wall space and criteria, so we have tried to accommodate this by offering a variety of sizes for each artwork within this collection with a bordered print to suit different styles.

Description

Giclée fine art reproduction is a method using microscopic sized dot pattern allowing for the absolute highest quality print imaginable.

The giclée prints are printed on Hahnemühle German Etching Paper. This heavyweight paper has a slightly warm base tone and a strong mottled texture giving it a matt look. It creates a print with strong colours that feel rich and high in contrast which suits the artists stye.

With its weight (310gsm) and strong texture, this paper gives artwork a handmade crafted feel and robustness providing an archival life of more than 80 years.

This option is perfect if you’d like to customise your print with a frame that will compliment your home's decor. Our prints come in standard ‘A’ sizes with a set white border allowing flexibility in frame sizes and mounting options.

The prints are limited making them an exclusive and a more valuable asset to own. There will only be 100 prints made per original artwork. The artwork will also come with a Certificate of Authenticity stamped by the artist and authenticated by the uniquely labelled holograms which distinguishes the certificate & art work to be genuine.

Receiving your package and & Displaying Art Work

Gionita Studio utilises an external supplier to enable high quality art prints to be supplied worldwide. The fine art prints are carefully covered with recyclable tissue paper, eliminating the danger of any scratches or folds and ensuring the work can be carefully handled.

Your order is then placed into a robust 100% sustainably sourced recyclable cardboard envelope or tube. Their team then ships your order, ensuring your prints are delivered safely and quickly as possible.

Their services are also specifically chosen as their operations are 100% end-to-end carbon neutral and this aligns with the values of Gionita Studio. Read more about how they achieve carbon neutrality here.

After receiving your artwork, please check for defect immediately and inform us within 14 days of item being delivered. We will not be able to accept any returns after this time.

If you’re print is A1or A2 size it will arrive in a tube, this means the print will have a slight curvature to it when removed from tube. Once ensuring there are no defects, there are several ways to overcome this, we suggest the following tips:

Preparation:

  1. Before you start unrolling, stop and make sure your hands and the surface area you’re working on are clean. Any grit or dirt on your fingertips can bruise the Print, plus any oils on your skin can leave unwanted marks.
  2. When handling your Print, only touch the edges – keep your fingers away from the printed surface of the print. Wear gloves if possible. (If you have it, place a piece of smooth paper or cloth on your working area that’s bigger than your Print. (If you don’t have a piece of paper or cloth, that’s okay! It’s just an extra layer of protection.)
  3. Carefully place the Print image-side down on your smooth paper or clean workspace and begin to unroll. You want to be gentle so you don’t accidentally crease your Print.

Method 1:

  1. Lay your print face down on the clean surface and gently flatten your Print by rolling it in the opposite direction of which it’s curled over a heavy-duty cardboard tube avoiding touching the printed area of the print.

Method 2:

  1. When your Print is fully face down, take some smooth, flat, heavy objects (i.e., books) and place on the ends and even the middle of your Print. Let it sit overnight!
  2. Once it’s been 24 hours, check your Print. If it’s still not laying flat, put your heavy objects back on it for a couple more hours.

And that’s it! Your Print is now ready for hanging or framing. A4 prints will arrive flat in a cardboard backed envelop so no further preparation is required.

Framing

Any standard ‘A’ size frame can be suitable for the prints. This can be found on Amazon.com, furniture & interior design stores or online. If you want a more unique frame, you can also search for local framing services near you, this will be dependant on the location you are based.

A plain white border is provided on each print which also allows it to be trimmed to suit different frame size requirements (border sizes are dependent on the print size and is outlined above).

A mount is a card ‘border’ (typically white but can be any colour) around the artwork itself and provides a ‘breathing space’ in between the artwork and the frame. Having a border also allows a mount to be used without taking away from the picture itself.

Prints can also be paired with different sizes & different prints to create a more dynamic or gallery wall style!
